Dear Papa Smurf,
How come Smurfette was never given a real first name? Was it something the writers weren’t ready for? Could it have perhaps been that it was an all-male team of writers, and none of them could come up with a good name for her? Here’s a list that I came up with for possible first names for her.

Also, on the subject of female smurfs, Papa Smurf, where’s Mama Smurf? Am I to believe that you are living in sin (you are Papa Smurf, and not Old Single Guy Smurf), or did Mama Smurf leave you? And if so, why? Was it because of Greedy Smurf? If so, I have “friends” who can take care of him, if you know what I mean… You seem to be like a wise and handsome smurf, and it wasn’t very smurfy of Mama Smurf to bail on you and leave you with that huge family.
